Terms of Use

Last updated: May 16, 2026

By using aesthetic.name you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, not to trick you — if something isn't clear, ask us.

What the Site Is

Aesthetic Name is a free reference resource for names, fonts, and symbols. Everything on the site is provided for personal, creative use — finding a username, naming a character, styling a bio, or just browsing for inspiration.

What You Can Do

You can copy names, fonts, and symbols freely for personal use — usernames, bios, social media profiles, game characters, OCs, creative writing, whatever. That's exactly what the site is for.

You can share individual names or small excerpts with attribution. Linking to a page on the site is always welcome.

What You Can't Do

You may not scrape, reproduce, or republish the content of this site in bulk — as a dataset, in another name directory, or through automated tools — without written permission. The curation behind these lists is the work; copying the whole list isn't fair use.

You may not use the site or its content in ways that are illegal, harmful, or that misrepresent Aesthetic Name as the source of your content.

Sponsored and Affiliate Content

Some content on the site may be sponsored or contain affiliate links. Sponsored posts are clearly labeled. Affiliate links don't change the price you pay — they help support the site.

No Warranties

The site is provided "as is." We do our best to keep names, meanings, and origins accurate, but we make no guarantees. Etymology is complicated and sources sometimes disagree — use your own judgment for anything that really matters.

We also make no guarantees about uptime or availability. It's a free resource; we'll keep it running, but we can't promise 100% reliability.

Limitation of Liability

Aesthetic Name is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or its content. If you chose a username based on a name you found here and it turned out to mean something embarrassing — that's on you to verify.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
